CDA PRINCIPLES AND VISION

OUR UNDERLYING PRINCIPLES

Our vision is one of a society that is based on Biblical values which guarantees the right of all people to live in an equal, free, and open democracy, and to expect a government that governs justly in honour of a righteous God.

We unashamedly declare that we acknowledge the absolute sovereignty of God, that we are willing to submit to the authority of the Bible and a moral code based on Biblical Norms and Values and subscribe to the ordering of society according to the Biblical principle of unity in diversity.

We believe that there are certain non-negotiables in structuring a society under Biblical principles and commit ourselves fully to these –
  • The removal of all forms of discrimination from society that is based on culture, creed, language, sex,  political affiliation, or any form of people group. We deny the concept of race as a myth of evolutionists and do not recognise the validity of the term in describing any human being created by God
  •   A federal system of governance whereby power is devolved to the lowest possible level, without with proper separation of legislative, judicial and executive power. Fool proof checks and balances must be implemented to prevent and prosecute any form of manipulation or undue influence in other levels of authority.
  •   An economic framework and policy that addresses the needs of all the peoples of South Africa, based on a free market economy, with necessary measures in place to prevent monopolisation and exploitation of entrepreneurs, employees and consumers.
  •   A policing, defence and justice service that protects and serves the people and not the state. The state shall without abdication seek to protect the lives of all it’s citizens, and in particular the unborn and those who cannot speak for or defend themselves. Policing systems to be community based and a justice system that is accessible to all without being inhibitive because of cost or unnecessary administrative burdens.
  • The independence of civil organisations is imperative to any free society. Organs of civil society shall operate without interference and in a spirit of mutual co-operation. There shall be guaranteed freedom of religion, a media sector free from undue influence and a recognition of these civil organisations for their contribution to the healthy growth of the nation
