ACT - ALLIANCE FOR COMMUNITY
TRANSFORMATION
ACT
was formed out of a desire to see Christian politics play itself out at
community level thereby bringing real change to the communties
themselves. It is a firm rooted ACT belief that transformation of our
nation needs to happen at grass roots level rather than simply at a
national legislative level.
The Party is firmly grounded on
Biblical principles and holds an uncompromising stance that this is the
only road to proper governance based in servanthood.
Committed
to a federal system of governance, ACT focuses much of its action on
empowering local community leaders so that change can be driven by
local needs and desires. |
FD - FEDERATION OF DEMOCRATS
The FD was originally established
in the Western Cape and has since grown to be a force across the
nation. With unwavering Biblical principles as it's cornerstone, it has
one end in mind - governance under God.
The
FD believes it is time for communities to take a stand and that for too
long we have allowed decisions to be made on our behalf by people who
care only for themselves.
They remain steadfast in that what is
needed are people of strong moral character and integrity to take up
office. People who truly understand the needs of the people and are
committed to delivery not personal self gain. See Website.

CP - CHRISTIAN PARTY
The Christian
Party was
founded in September 2005 by Louis Marneweck
and was registered in October 2005 with the Independent Electoral
Commission as
a political party. The party is registered as a National party in terms
of the
electoral legislation which qualifies it to participate in all
elections for
the National Assembly, all Provincial Parliaments and all
municipalities. The
party is currently represented in the Mpumalanga Provincial
Legislature. As a
Christian Party, they don’t align themselves with any secular political
ideology (democratic, conservative, liberal or African) whatsoever.
The
CP has a vote agreement with the CDA whereby all
CDA members will vote CP for regional and provincial ballots in Mpumalanga
and all CP
voters will vote CDA on the national ballot. View Website

PDP
- PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
Under the current presidency of Puleng Mpokotho, the PDP was
formed primarily as a party that would focus on the needs and
aspirations of
youth, which are largely ignored by other parties.
They have a clear manifesto of youth development focusing on
education, poverty and financial empowerment. Recognising the failure
of the
Youth Parliament and the National Youth Commission to constructively
engage and
develop the potential of our youth, the party was formed in 2007 to
address
these shortfalls.
They carry widespread support across South Africa
and between all cultural and language groups. Recognising the need to
base
their programme on Biblical principals, the CDA was identified
as
the Party that could assist in meeting
these ideals.
