MEET SOME OF OUR LEADERS
Louis
Michael Green
was born in District Six, Cape Town
and after moving to Bonteheuwel on the Cape Flats,
where he attended high school in Bonteheuwel he was an active member of
ACS (the Association for Christian Students). He matriculated in 1970.
He
completed a BA (Law) degree in 1974 at the University of the Western Cape,
majoring in Private Law and English as well as 3 part-time courses at
UCT viz. Library Management, Bibliocultural Studies, and Readership and
Book Selection.
He
worked in Libararies and in the teaching profession, until 1989, when
he became the full-time organiser for the Western Cape Teachers' Union, (WECTU), which was banned
for its activities until February 1990. In 1990, when the South African
Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) was started, he became the first
organiser for the union, a position he held until the end of 1991.
In
1992, he accepted the position as financial consultant for Southern
life and 8 months later he worked for Old Mutual Group Schemes as a
group schemes advisor until April 1993. In May 1993, he founded the
Marginalised and Unemployed People's Project (MUPP) under the auspices
of ACS, which he directed until December 1993.
In
January 1994, he served as the ACDP Western Cape convenor until elected
to the office of Member of Parliament for the ACDP, National Assembly
during May 1994. He was the chairman and founder of Touch Community
Services (founded in 1997), a Section 21 company, providing social
services to previously disadvantaged communities, and is still
currently involved in other community based projects. He is currently
the founder and chairman of the National Nutritional Support Programme
(NNSP), which feeds about 300 school children three times per week at
various Primary Schools in the Western Cape.
He
was a Member of Parliament for the ACDP from 1994-2005 and on 1
September 2005, he became a member of the Federation of Democrats and
is currently serving as Party leader. Since 1994 he has served on
various Parliamentary Committees, such as Communications, Finance and
Education. Additionally, he has also served on the Standing Committee
on Public Accounts and the Joint Committee on Ethics and Members
interests as well as the Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence
He
is presently serving the CDA on the Agriculture, Communications, and
Transport Committees and is a member of the National Leadership Council.

Rev.
Theunis Botha
has been a minister of the Gospel since 1970. He is a true pioneer and
has been instrumental in starting new ministries in Pietermaritzburg,
Klerksdorp, Oranjemund, Barberton,
Kimberley,
Port Elizabeth,
and Pretoria.
He is the founder of numerous ministries over a period of many years,
namely: Christian Drama Workshop (CDW), Victorious Life Ministries
(VLM), VLM-Community Projects, Christian Fellowship of Ministries
(CFM), Forum for Christians in Politics (FCP), and the Christian
Democratic Party (CDP).
He
has been involved in Christian Politics since 1994 (Councillor -
Pretoria City Council; MPL - Gauteng Legislator) and served on the
boards of the Youth Development Outreach (YDO- Deputy President), and
Inter-City Mission Fellowship (IMF). He has been the Chairman of a
number of political groups and having been in the full time ministry
for thirty-five years, he brings a strong Biblical influence to any
organisation that he is part of.
As
founder and Party Leader of the CDP, he inspires the Party and
contributes a prophetic influence. He is an avid opponent of the
secular/humanist, socialist/liberal philosophies of the Governing Party
and the Official Opposition, and enthusiastically supports biblical
principles as the only sure political philosophy guaranteeing a fair
and effective government, leading to true peace, justice and prosperity
for all.
He
is the Founder of and main contributor to Let's Talk Facts and has
clear insights into the policies and objectives of the various
political parties
He
is a member of the National Leadership Council and currently serves the
CDA as spokesperson for Religious Affairs and Arts and Culture

Colin
Wesley Fibiger
has many years of experience as an accountant in corporate retail and
manufacturing as well as service fields. This has served him well in
the establishment of a variety of businesses which have included
property development and construction. He has also qualified in Project
Management as well as other Financial and Management fields.
He has been a Councillor on the Nelson Mandela
Metro Council and served on the Health and Environment and Housing and
Land Committees. He was also appointed to the Metro AIDS Council as a
city representative.
He
was also appointed as one of the founding members of the Moral
Regeneration Movement, from which he resigned after realising their
hidden agendas and lack of commitment to actual restoration of morals
and values.
He
is involved in a variety of ministries and currently heads up the
Kingdom Business Alliance as well as being a member of the
International Centre for Worldview Studies.
Other
than his business and ministry interests, he is a consultant for the
international consultancy firm, the Gerson Lehrman Group. He also currently serves as
chairman for the Leadership Development Institute of Southern Africa which focuses on
the development of strong community leaders.
He
is a member of the National Leadership Council and currently serves the
CDA as Chairman of the Finance Committee, National Media Liaison and
Spokesperson on Economic Affairs, Trade and Industry and Housing.

Jan
Christoffel Hendrik
Landman was
born in the Free
State on 10 December 1944. He
attended school, first in the district of Memel (a farm
school) and later matriculated at the High School of Volksrust .
He went to the University of the Free State where he obtained the
degrees of BA and BA Hon. He subsequently
joined the diplomatic service of SA from 1969 - 1992,
where he had accreditations in Canada, Argentina, Bolivia, Chilli,
Paraguay, Uruguay, the Netherlands, and in Germany.
Meanwhile
Christo continued his studies and received the following additional
qualifications: MA (RAU) in Consociational Democracy, MA
(Ott.) on Canada's Foreign Policy towards SA (1910-1960), Diploma in
Senior Government (UP), PhD (PU vir CHO) on models for social change
imbedded in certain Church documents (i.e. the Kairos document as well
as Church and Society of the DRC), studies in human rights and in
administrative justice for LLB at the UP.
In
1994 Dr. Landman became a member of the Gauteng Legislature, and in
1999 was appointed by President Mandela to help formulate Act 19 of
2002 (the s. 185 Commissions Act). Dr. Landman was appointed by
President Mbeki as Commissioner for 5 years, an appointment that
expires at the end of 2008. Dr. Landman is married to Marietjie
Wannenburg, a speech therapist. They have three children: Ané
(graduated at US), Nadia (graduated US) and Jan-Chris (a Quantity
Surveyor, UFS).
He
currently serves the CDA as spokesperson on Education and Foreign
Affairs and is a member of the National Leadership Council.
